42 Degrees Tasmania Chardonnay 2025 - 12 Bottles
Winery Background
42 Degrees Wines, located in Tasmania’s Coal River Valley, focuses on producing expressive cool-climate wines that highlight regional elegance and varietal purity. Their Chardonnay offerings are celebrated for balance, vibrancy, and a refined sense of place.
Vineyards and Vintage Conditions
The 2025 Chardonnay was sourced from select vineyard blocks in the Coal River Valley South, where cool nights and warm days promoted slow, even ripening. The vintage delivered bright, aromatic fruit with excellent natural acidity and texture.
Winemaking Process
Hand-harvested grapes were gently pressed, with fermentation in a combination of French oak and stainless steel to preserve freshness while adding subtle complexity. Extended lees contact enhanced mouthfeel and depth, producing a layered yet precise wine.
Tasting Notes
Pale straw with golden highlights. Aromas of white peach, nectarine, and citrus blossom are complemented by subtle almond and toast notes. The palate is crisp, textured, and balanced, with stone fruit and citrus flavours leading to a long, elegant finish.
Food Pairing
Pairs beautifully with seared scallops, roast chicken, seafood risotto, or soft cheeses.
