Biscay Road Barossa Valley Shiraz 2022 - 6 Bottles

Luscious deep ruby red in colour with a bright nose featuring lifted aromas of black
pepper, plums and hints of tobacco leaf. The palate is medium to full bodied showing
excellent balance with flavours of blackberry, spicy plum sauce, all spice and
charcuterie before giving way to a fine tannin finish of moderate length. An excellent
example of classic Barossa Shiraz.

VINTAGE CONDITIONS

Vintage 2022 kicked off with average to above average rainfall during winter through
to November giving way to a very dry December with a large rain event in February
freshening up the vines leading into harvest.
Yields from the vineyard was low but the fruit showed excellent intensity with acid
levels holding in the grapes for a prolonged period providing near perfect ripening
conditions. Winemakers are talking about vintage ‘22 wines as elegant and
structured, with depth and length of flavour.
