Vineyards and Vintage Conditions

Fruit is sourced from low-yielding Rutherglen vineyards, known for their warm climate and rich soils, ideal for Durif. The 2021 vintage was mild and dry, resulting in concentrated grapes with deep colour, ripe tannins, and excellent balance.

Winemaking Process

Hand-picked fruit was fermented in small open vessels with gentle plunging for controlled extraction. The wine was matured in a mix of French and American oak barrels to build structure, integrate tannins, and add complexity.

Tasting Notes

Deep inky purple. Aromas of blackberry, plum, dark chocolate and spice. The palate is rich and powerful, offering layers of dark fruit, mocha, pepper and firm tannins, finishing long and structured with great depth.
