Warburn Estate Rumours Australian Chardonnay 2023

Winery Overview

Rumours is a relaxed and approachable wine range from Warburn Estate. The label is all about everyday enjoyment, fresh flavours and value, so you don’t need to wait for a special occasion to open a bottle.

Region & Vintage Conditions

The 2023 vintage enjoyed favorable ripening with cool mornings and warm days, which helped the fruit retain freshness and clarity. The vineyards are located in South Eastern Australia and are managed to produce clean, flavour-driven grapes.

Source

Grapes are selected from small parcels of vines in the region, grown to low yields to capture strong fruit character and excellent value.

Winemaking

This Chardonnay is fermented and matured in stainless steel to preserve its crispness and primary fruit flavours. The result is a clean, bright wine that’s ready to drink and doesn’t rely on heavy oak or over-work.

Tasting Notes

Appearance: Pale straw with a lemon hue.

Aroma: White stone fruit, fresh lime and a hint of citrus zest.

Palate: Flavours of ripe peach, melon and subtle guava, balanced by fresh acidity and a clean finish.

Finish: Crisp, refreshing and easy to enjoy with lingering fruit brightness.

Key Characteristics

  • Fruit-forward and easy to drink

  • Clean style with bright acidity

  • Great value for everyday or casual occasions

Food Pairing

Pairs beautifully with light seafood, white meats, fresh salads or soft cheeses. Ideal chilled on its own when you simply want something enjoyable without fuss.
