Vineyards and Vintage Conditions

The 2020 season in Heathcote produced lower yields with concentrated flavours. Warm days and cool nights through ripening enhanced colour, aromatic lift, and balanced natural acidity, resulting in exceptional fruit purity.

Winemaking Process

Harvested at peak ripeness, the grapes were fermented in small open fermenters for maximum flavour expression. Extended skin contact built structure, followed by gentle pressing. Maturation in French oak barrels (including a portion new) added subtle spice complexity.

Tasting Notes

Deep crimson colour with aromas of blackberry, plum, and subtle mocha. The palate is rich and layered with dark fruits, pepper, and silky tannins, finishing long and smooth.
