Neudorf Rosie's Block Moutere Riesling Dry 2021 - 12 Bottles
Winery Background
Neudorf Vineyards is one of New Zealand’s most respected family-owned wineries, known for crafting wines of elegance, integrity, and strong regional character. With a deep connection to their Upper Moutere vineyards in Nelson, the winery produces small-batch, terroir-driven wines that speak clearly of place.
Vineyards and Vintage Conditions
Rosie’s Block sits on the ancient clay-gravel soils of the Moutere Hills, providing ideal conditions for Riesling. The 2021 vintage was mild and balanced, allowing for slow, even ripening that preserved natural acidity and produced fruit with purity and intensity.
Winemaking Process
Harvested by hand, the grapes were gently pressed and fermented cool to capture aromatics and precision. Minimal intervention allowed the vineyard’s character to shine, while fermentation was guided to a dry style for structure and focus.
Tasting Notes
Pale lemon in colour. Aromas of lime zest, green apple, and jasmine are supported by flinty mineral undertones. The palate is taut and vibrant, with citrus and orchard fruits balanced by crisp acidity, leading to a long, dry, and refreshing finish.
Food Pairing
Perfect with fresh oysters, Thai salads, grilled fish, or lightly spiced Asian dishes. Its lively acidity also makes it a fine match for soft goat’s cheese.
