Vineyards and Vintage Conditions

The 2022 Chardonnay showcases the best parcels of fruit from Padthaway Valley’s rich soils. Mild, dry days and carefully monitored vine balance throughout the season resulted in low yields but outstanding fruit concentration. These conditions supported vibrant, fruit-driven characters and crisp acidity that define this style.

Winemaking

The base of this Chardonnay is crafted from gently pressed free-run juices, preserving delicate aromatics. Fermentation and maturation in stainless steel at 12–14°C maintain the wine’s fresh and lively fruit expression, while a small portion receives extended lees contact to enhance texture and complexity on the palate.
