De Bortoli La Boheme Interlude Yarra Valley Pinot Noir 2023 - 6 Bottles

Winery Background

The La Bohème collection is inspired by art, opera, and the romance of cool-climate winemaking. Interlude Pinot Noir sits at the heart of the range, showcasing De Bortoli’s elegant expression of Yarra Valley Pinot.

Vineyards and Vintage Conditions

Sourced from mature vineyards in the cooler upper Yarra Valley. The 2023 vintage delivered a long, mild season, encouraging steady ripening, finesse, and excellent fruit purity in the Pinot Noir grapes.

Winemaking Process

Hand-picked and fermented in small batches, with a portion of whole bunches to enhance perfume and complexity. Gentle plunging and wild fermentation on skins for 12–18 days. Aged briefly in French oak before early bottling to preserve freshness.

Tasting Notes

Light ruby in colour. Fragrant notes of red cherry, wild strawberry, and rose petals, with a hint of spice. The palate is silky and vibrant, with juicy red fruit, soft tannins, and a fresh, savoury finish.

Food Pairing

Pairs well with duck, grilled salmon, mushroom risotto or charcuterie. Also suited to dishes with earthy herbs or mild game meats.

Story Behind the Wine

Interlude is a tribute to the delicate, aromatic side of Pinot Noir. The 2023 release captures the charm and brightness of the Yarra Valley—refined, youthful, and effortlessly drinkable.
