Cullen Ephraim Margaret River Red Blend 2023 - 6 Bottles

Winery Background
Cullen Wines, a flagship Margaret River estate, is renowned for its biodynamic practices and commitment to producing wines that reflect purity, elegance, and regional character. The Ephraim Red Blend is a modern expression of the estate’s philosophy, combining varietals to deliver a vibrant and harmonious wine.

Vineyards and Vintage Conditions
Fruit for the 2023 blend was sourced from Cullen’s biodynamic vineyards in Wilyabrup and surrounding Margaret River subregions. The 2023 vintage offered warm, even conditions that promoted consistent ripening, producing grapes with excellent colour, aromatics, and structure.

Winemaking Process
Grapes were hand-harvested, fermented separately, and matured in a combination of seasoned and new French oak barrels. Minimal intervention preserved varietal purity and terroir expression, allowing the final blend to achieve balance, vibrancy, and seamless integration of flavours.

Tasting Notes
Deep ruby with purple hues. Aromas of blackberry, plum, and dark cherry are complemented by hints of spice, earthy undertones, and subtle oak. The palate is medium to full-bodied, showing layered red and black fruits, silky tannins, and a long, polished finish.

Food Pairing
Pairs beautifully with roasted lamb, beef fillet, charcuterie, or hearty Mediterranean dishes. Its balanced structure also complements mushroom-based meals and hard cheeses.
