Coppabella Wines Single Vineyard New South Wales Sparkling Chardonnay Pinot Noir 2023 - 12 Bottles

Winery Background

Coppabella Vineyard is a family-run estate situated in Tumbarumba, New South Wales. Originally planted in the early 1990s, it was revived by Jason and Alecia Brown. Tumbarumba’s cool climate, granite-rich soils and altitude are ideal for sparkling wines made from Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.

Vineyards and Vintage Conditions

The fruit for the 2023 sparkling comes exclusively from Coppabella’s high-altitude vineyard blocks in Tumbarumba. Cool nights and a slow ripening season help preserve crisp acidity and deliver expressive fruit with clarity.

Winemaking Process

The grapes are harvested early, cold‑pressed and fermented in stainless steel. A secondary fermentation via the Charmat method delivers fine and persistent bubbles. Lees contact over several months adds subtle texture without masking freshness.

Tasting Notes

Pale straw in colour with a delicate mousse. You’ll find aromas of green apple, citrus blossom and melon followed by flavours of lemon zest, pear and a hint of brioche. The palate is dry, crisp and well-balanced with a clean mineral finish.

Food Pairing

Ideal with oysters, sushi, light canapés or soft cheeses. Also makes a fine match to seafood salads or light vegetarian fare, especially dishes with citrus or herb notes.

Story Behind the Wine

This sparkling is Coppabella’s expression of Tumbarumba’s distinct site. Crafted with restraint, it highlights cool-climate purity, fine mousse and balanced structure, delivering engaging drinkability without any heavy-handed techniques.
