Coppabella Wines Single Vineyard New South Wales Pinot Noir 2024 - 12 Bottles

Winery Background

Coppabella Vineyard is a family‑run estate in Tumbarumba, NSW, now managed by Jason and Alecia Brown. The estate stands at 600 m elevation and benefits from cool-climate conditions ideal for varietals like Pinot Noir. Coppabella is a five‑star Halliday winery known for site-focused wines from old vines on granite-loam soils.

Vineyards and Vintage Conditions

Fruit for the 2022 Pinot Noir was sourced from multiple blocks and clones across Coppabella’s Tumbarumba vineyard. The region’s cool nights and extended ripening produced expressive fruit with natural acidity. Yields were managed to ensure concentration and balance in the final wine.

Winemaking Process

After cold soak and gentle fermentation, the wine was matured in French oak barriques (some new, some used) to add structure while preserving elegance. Lees were stirred regularly to soften tannins without overwhelming the fruit. Bottled under screwcap for consistency.

Tasting Notes

Bright and lifted on the nose with aromas of cherries, raspberries, violet and a touch of thyme. The palate delivers silky red fruit, fine acidity and subtle spice; light to medium-bodied with a long, vibrant finish.

Food Pairing

Pairs well with roast or grilled poultry, duck breast, charred vegetables, mushroom dishes or aged cheeses. Its balanced acidity and refined texture also suit lighter red meat or root-vegetable fare.

Story Behind the Wine

This Pinot Noir reflects site and vintage with clarity and purpose. Coppabella’s cool Tumbarumba fruit speaks for itself, bright, refined and varietally true with no unnecessary manipulation. A straightforward expression of place that delivers consistent character and drinkability.
