Angove Naturalis Riverland Organic Rosé 2024 - 6 Bottles
Winery Background
Angove Family Winemakers, founded in 1886, is a multi-generational family winery in South Australia. They cultivate vineyards in McLaren Vale and Riverland, and their Naturalis label is fully certified organic. That means no synthetic pesticides, herbicides, or chemical fertilisers are used from vine to bottle — just clean, natural fruit and careful winemaking.
Vineyards and Vintage Conditions
This Rosé is made from Shiraz (95%) along with a splash of Sauvignon Blanc (5%) sourced from the Nanya Vineyard in Riverland, a region well known for warm days, cooling nights, and free-draining loam over limestone soils. The 2023 vintage benefited from these climatic conditions, drawing freshness into the fruit while allowing aromas to fully develop.
Winemaking
The grapes are grown organically (Nanya Vineyard) and processed with minimal intervention. After harvest, the fruit is handled gently to preserve aromatic character. Fermentation is carried out in stainless steel to retain freshness. There’s no oak influence here — the emphasis is on vibrant fruit and a clean, bright palate.
Tasting Notes
-
Appearance: Light blushing pink with delicate bloom.
-
Aroma: Fresh aromas of strawberry, blueberry and a hint of lime kick off.
-
Palate: Crisp and clean; juicy red berries dominate, with just a little citrus lift from the Sauvignon Blanc. A touch of tartness adds lift.
-
